Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Certification Your life is full of stories that deserve to be properly recorded and preserved. How do you select a photographer in a world where anyone can claim to be a professional? The Professional Photographers of America Certified designation helps consumers find photographers who meet a high standard of technical skill, creativity, and business practices. The PPA Certified photographer has the skills and abilities to create much more than a picture - he or she can tell the story of who you are or even who you might like to be. Only those photographers who have passed a rigorous three part test can earn the PPA Certified designation. These parts are: · Passing a comprehensive written examination measuring technical expertise.
Moreover, all PPA Certified photographers must participate in the continuing education program of the Professional Photographers of America and periodically submit their work for critical evaluation to maintain their certification. This ensures that all those holding the PPA Certified designation not only maintain their level of expertise, but also continue to develop new skills and techniques. The PPA Certified designation is granted by the Professional Photographers of America, the world’s oldest and largest Association of professional image makers, with more than 14,000 members in 64 nations.
